In recent years we have noticed that in the field of care for the disabled, there is little to be done in the Western Cape of South Africa while there is a great need.
Next to the current Goeie Hoop house, a piece of land of 1 hectare has been undeveloped for years. The owners first wanted to build on it themselves, but abandoned this and decided to sell the land. Until now this land had not been sold. Several times there was a buyer, but the purchase was always canceled.
It would be great if we could buy this land for a new Child and Youth Center for the disabled to be built.
It is the rule in South Africa that any initiative with money from donations must be built according to the legislation of South Africa. Only when the Project is in place and meets all legal requirements, including in terms of personnel, will the government act in the form of registration and partial subsidy. You understand, this is a great challenge.
And yet… We know that nothing is impossible for God.
We shared our vision and plans in the Netherlands and were supported. A foundation made it possible to purchase the land.
In the coming period we will further elaborate our plans in a construction sketch and a budget.
And of course we will have to work hard to get the necessary funds together to create a safe place for this extra vulnerable group of children where they can shine their Light.
Would you like to help, or do you know a way to raise funds? Then mail to famborn@goeiehoop.nl
Baie dankie, together can us!
